Shoe Trends I'm Loving for Summer

One of my favorite things about a new season is seeing which trends actually feel wearable. This summer's shoe trends are checking all the boxes: stylish, comfortable, and easy to mix into a real wardrobe.

I've been browsing the Nordstrom Shoe Edit, here’s what’s catching my eye.

First up: the kitten heel. Not interested in teetering around in sky-high stilettos anymore, you're not alone, trust me. Kitten heels are chic and feminine. They're the perfect way to elevate everything from denim to summer dresses without sacrificing comfort.

As you may have seen, the comeback is the jelly shoe. Before you dismiss them as a childhood memory, hear me out. Today's jelly styles are much more sophisticated than the colorful pairs we wore decades ago. Think sleek sandals, modern flats, and neutral tones that add a playful touch to your summer outfits.

And then there's my favorite all-day trend: natural textures. Woven leather, raffia, straw-inspired details, and handcrafted finishes are everywhere this season. These materials bring warmth to an outfit and create that effortless summer South-of -France feeling. Whether you're heading to brunch, traveling, or simply running errands around town, these styles feel relaxed and put together.

What I love most about Summer 2026 footwear is that fashion seems to be embracing practicality. Shoes are beautiful, but they're also designed to be lived in. As someone who is on her feet all day and values style that's a trend I fully get behind.

Together these styles capture everything that's fresh, easy, and wearable about summer right now.
